FISH FRY!

We had a fish fry at the lakehouse on Friday night to celebrate Grandmother and Aunt Jean's birthdays. Uncle Jimmy fried lots of fish and hush puppies, and the kids got to take a boat ride and feed the ducks. It was so good to see Grandmother so happy, sitting at the table with her brother and sisters (they were all there...Uncle Johnny, Aunt Sharon, Aunt Jody, and Aunt Jean). They laughed and told stories and had a great time, and Grandmother seemed really happy.

Alabama/South Carolina Game

I went to the Alabama/South Carolina game in Tuscaloosa last Saturday with Jacquelyn, Caleb, and my dad. We had a blast, but it was COLD! Caleb really got into the game, it was so cute! He really loved it when the announcer said, "...and thats a FIRST DOWN for the ALABAMA...", and the crowd would say, "CRIMSON TIDE." I really do think that he is one of the most adorable little boys on the face of the earth (can you tell that I am his adoring aunt?)! We stopped in Sikes and Kohns to do a little shopping on the way up, and had lunch in Montgomery at Red Robin. We tried (unsuccessfully) to meet up with Christopher (our cousin who is going to school at Alabama). He did get to go to the game with Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jimmy, but they were on the other side of the stadium :(. The ride home was long, but it was so good to get the chance to go to a game this year! No matter what is going on in our lives, good or bad, we have family and love and blessings all around us!
